Fall means many things to many people. But to me, it means cooler temperatures, a couple of fun holidays, colorful landscapes and more time indoors for games by the fire. Here are a few vibrant pens that will remind you of the season with each stroke you write.
Retro 51 and the United States Postal Service® have a treat for you just for Halloween: Spooky Silhouettes. This glow-in-the-dark limited edition rollerball is reminiscent of the four Halloween stamps created by artist Tyler Lang for the United States Postal Service, 2019 season. Vacuum Thermos Flask
The colorful illustrations feature silhouettes of a black cat, bats, a spider, and ghosts. Each is backlit by bright colors that make the creatures eerily pop: yellow, purple, red, and orange. The pen’s black barrel is accessorized with black accents, and the finial is crowned with another spooky spider.
There are just 1,031 pieces in this edition, and each pen is engraved on the top ring with its unique number.
Oktoberfest is “one-part beer fest, one-part carnival, and one-part display of German heritage,” according to Esterbrook. It’s also a time to celebrate the harvest, so a new fountain pen and rollerball pen in shades recalling the autumn bounty are being introduced. The Camden model was chosen as the perfect canvas for a stacked acrylic design of amber, red, and gray hues that offer a serene wheat-field appearance, while potentially reminding one of that next mug of pale ale.
The pens are available with gold or palladium trim, and nib sizes for the fountain pen range from extra fine to broad, with custom nibs (Journaler, Scribe, and Needlepoint) available.
